1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Dyson Sphere Blueprints ("Site", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using dysonsphereblueprints.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Dyson Sphere Blueprints is a community platform for sharing and discovering blueprints for the game Dyson Sphere Program. Our services include:

  • Blueprint hosting and sharing
  • User accounts and authentication
  • Blueprint collections and organization
  • Search and discovery features
  • Social features (likes, favorites, user profiles)
  • Image hosting for blueprint previews

The Site is provided free of charge as a community service for Dyson Sphere Program players.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Site, you must create an account by logging in through one of our supported OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, Steam, Discord) or by direct registration.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

3.2 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Submissions

When you upload blueprints, images, descriptions, tags, or other content ("User Content") to the Site, you retain ownership of your User Content. However, you grant us the following license:

You grant Dyson Sphere Blueprints a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Site.

4.2 Your Responsibilities

By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to the User Content you submit
  • Your User Content does not infringe on the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party
  • Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

4.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to review, monitor, edit, or remove User Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

4.4 Backup Responsibility

While we make reasonable efforts to maintain the Site and preserve User Content, we are not responsible for data loss. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your blueprints and User Content.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Dyson Sphere Program

Dyson Sphere Program, including all game content, characters, artwork, and trademarks, is the property of Youthcat Studio and Gamera Games. This Site is an unofficial, fan-made resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Youthcat Studio or Gamera Games.

5.2 Site Content

The Site's design, code, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content) are owned by Dyson Sphere Blueprints and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute Site content without permission
  • Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to extract Site content
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

5.3 Open Source

The Site's source code is available on GitHub under an open-source license. See the GitHub repository for license details.

6. Prohibited Conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Violate laws: Engage in any activity that violates local, national, or international laws
  • Upload harmful content: Post malware, viruses, or malicious code disguised as blueprints
  • Harassment: Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Impersonation: Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation
  • Spam: Upload duplicate blueprints, spam tags, or engage in repetitive behavior
  • Inappropriate content: Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or offensive
  • Intellectual property infringement: Upload content you don't own or have permission to share
  • System abuse: Attempt to gain unauthorized access, disrupt the Site, or overload servers
  • Automated access: Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission
  • Commercial use: Use the Site for commercial purposes without authorization

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension, termination, and/or legal action.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 "As-Is" Service

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7.2 No Guarantee of Availability

We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We may suspend, discontinue, or modify the Site at any time without notice.

7.3 User Content Disclaimer

We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, safety, or legality of User Content. You access and use User Content at your own risk.

7.4 Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DYSON SPHERE BLUEPRINTS AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or use
  • Service interruptions or errors
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your User Content
  • Actions or content of third parties (including other users)

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED €100 (ONE HUNDRED EUROS) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SITE (WHICH IS ZERO, AS THE SITE IS FREE).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dyson Sphere Blueprints and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Site
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Site and delete your account at any time through your account settings.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended period of inactivity
  • Discontinuation of the Site

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Site will immediately cease
  • Your account and User Content may be deleted
  • Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification) will continue to apply

11. Governing Law and Disputes

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first through GitHub Issues or Reddit to seek informal resolution. We'll work with you in good faith to resolve the issue.

If informal resolution fails, you agree that any legal disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in France.

12. DMCA and Copyright Infringement

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, please contact us with the following information:

  • Description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • URL or description of where the infringing material is located on the Site
  • Your contact information (email address, phone number)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dyson Sphere Blueprints regarding your use of the Site.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
