This grid is similar to others out there by other authors, but I removed the polar power poles, shield, and signal towers. The reasoning behind this is polar segments are almost always utilized, so no dark fog will be landing there anyways. It provides 95% shield coverage ("gud-nuff") but allows you to use many of your older existing "polar" blueprints. (*you can stamp them down and ADD a shield if needed to get 100% without working about the authors choice of signal/shield placement in the blueprint)

This also maintains a reasonable solar spacing to allow belts between zones IF you need them, more dense versions do not allow this or force belt lift/drop. Hope you enjoy, and I highly recommend for use with my Double Stacked Bus Mall blueprints!
