Rocket Factory

Open Blueprint
When blueprints released, I was excited to come back to DSP.

It quickly became clear what I had to do. The rockets must fly. I built all the spaghetti as one must, but quickly started following some advice by the YouTuber Nilaus. Build a hub, plan your factory in meridian-based segments, don't cross tropic lines etc.

---

And now we arrive at the pinnacle of dyson sphere building. A fully self-sufficient rocket factory making 4 rockets per second, covering half of an entire planet. All it requires are raw resources, and I mean ore raw. Which means besides setting up miners anywhere in the cluster and feeding it a miniscule amount of warpers and gravity lenses from outside, it requires absolutely no support infrastructure. It even powers itself by slightly overproducing deuterium fuel!

Though alas, it cannot fully sustain itself on fusion power alone. There simply wasn't enough space while staying in my self-imposed half-planet limit. That's why you should either only build these in systems with dyson spheres so it can make use of its included ray receivers, or launch the rockets and solar sails from the very same planet so it can build its own. Or just add a couple artificial stars in the small free section in the east.

I also always set my interstellar logistics hubs to charge at full blast because I'm stubborn like that. Use the copy-paste feature to change this if you want to, it doesn't affect the materials the station supplies or demands.

If you have a sufficiently advanced dyson sphere, you can replace the southern fusion plant with a copy of the triple line ray receiver set from the north, it produces more power as long as you feed it lenses.

Don't forget to add drones and vessels. You can either add all of them to every station or just to the raw inputs (most of them are in the middle section, but don't forget the photon combiner, titanium alloy, titanium glass and casimir crystal sections. You can also leave the drones out of the ore processors in the middle section.

As you can probably tell, this is very much inspired by and takes some elements from Nilaus's DSP series. Especially the non-chemical ore processors and fractionators are entirely his design.

This design leaves you with enough space for a sizeable polar rail ejector and a band of launching silos just large enough to launch 4 rockets per second (both of which I also uploaded) if you choose to use the same planet to launch your rockets and solar sails. You can build two of these factories per planet, so you can feed two silo rings and two polar rail ejector, completely filling up the planet.

By the way, I recommend two opposing maximum size orbits orthogonal to the planetary plane and splitting your rail ejectors between these, usually that means at least half of them fire. That means an orbital inclination of 900 and one longitude of 0, one of 1800.
