EDIT: It is cost saving to feed the strange matter and frame material with a belt to the destroyer assembler from the opposite side of the inputs. Filters do not have to be changed. It would save alot of materials which would otherwise just sit in the boxes. Although if stored it acts like a buffer, easily constructing hundreds of destroyers uninterrupted.

Builds every Vessel, from Fidget Spinner to Destroyer in an incredibly small Footprint. Logistics Drones and Logistics Vessel have 2 assemblers. Prototype Fighter has 3 but 2 are basically used to supply the Precision Drone and the Attack Drone.
It will buffer alot of material and it will take a while until it boots up.
Uses a 13 "belt" input so 2 PLT (planetary) and 1 ILT (interstellar) Tower are required to import/ships all the material. But if you want to be on the safe side use 3 ILT.
To export the ships interstellar you need 2 additional ILT because it is 8 types of ships.
Point of note, the speed of the factory is highly dependent on the type of sorter. I do not recommend downgrading the sorters to T2. You can forgo the spaceships, especially the destroyer which uses frame material and strange matter. 
You can already build the factory when you have the prototype fighter and the interstellar tech unlocked as those tech stages will also bring all the tech needed for the thrusters and engines that are included in the shipyard.

As you further unlock tech, the corresponding assemblers have their recipe stored in form of a filter in its output box. Simply set the recipe and it will start working.
