This small blueprint for the midgame makes 8/s refined oil and 4/s hydrogen - but if hydrogen starts backing up, it adaptively starts using the reforming refine formula to convert hydrogen to refined oil as well, for a total of 12/s refined oil. Thus, it can always reliably produce oil, regardless of how much hydrogen is consumed, but can also provide some hydrogen while it's needed.
By flipping the splitter priority on the final final hydrogen splitter, you can easily switch this build so it always converts all hydrogen, which may be useful after you unlock orbital collection.
The build uses a planetary logistics station and Mk2 belts and sorters.
