Dark Fog Farm

Farm the Dark Fog secret items (Energy Shard, Dark Dog Matrix, Matter Recombinator, Silicon-based Neutron, Negentropy Singularity, Core Element) and/or other items.

Instructions:
  1. Place blueprint where the laser turrets are just within the outer range of the Dark Fog ground base. As Dark Fog drones circle the perimeter, they will be fired upon and other units will be drawn into your defenses. I chose a location that put the high-intensity laser just within my own laser's range so it's destroyed as it's built on that side.
  2. Use the filter to exclude items you don't want. In the Battlefield Analysis Base, choose the Drop Filter settings button and right click all of the items you don't want to collect. It is important that items are used or transported away or the system will clog. As you progress through the Dark Fog levels, the box at the end of the belt loop will collect anything excess which accommodates new items which you have not yet filtered as you progress through the Dark Fog levels.
  3. Make an ammo for the Implosion Cannon available within your planet via logistics distributors (fidget spinners). Alternatively, you can use a space in the Interstellar Logistics Station but you sacrifice an inventory slot this way.
  4. Create receiving logistics distributors (fidget spinners) for anything collected but not loaded into the Interstellar Logistics Station. For me, this was the Core Element, Warpers, and Antimatter Fuel Rods. I elected for these because the volumes are low.
  5. Remove or reconfigure the traffic monitors. I kept these because I wanted to visualize how many bases were progressing through levels of items but you can feel free to remove them.
  6. Be sure that missiles are installed somewhere on the planet. These are the last line of defense if your laser turret line is broken. The Signal Towers in the back line are placed such that any Dark Fog coming past them will be fired upon.
  7. Monitor the damaged or destroyed buildings indicator to ensure your defenses seem to be repairing as needed. If you see unusual counts, you should check on the farm as they may have found a way to overcome your defenses or to go a different direction and threaten other buildings on the planet.

How it works:
The laser turrets do most of the work which ensures you don't need to keep up a burdensome production line of ammo. The Implosion Cannons are set back where they fire if Dark Fog get too close. They are helpful with splash damage to take care of large groupings. Ammo usage is minimal. The Battlefield Analysis bases repair the buildings and collect the Dark Fog debris. That debris is deposited onto the belt loop which filters out valuable items. The highest volume items are collected into an Interstellar Logistics Station where the rest can optionally be loaded into boxes and logistics distributors can transport them elsewhere. The warp collector box is intentionally separate because connecting it to the station seems to clog the system.
